UTSA’s Undergraduate Pathway allows you to begin earning credits toward your degree even if you do not meet the English requirements for direct entry. You will receive additional support to move you successfully through your first year at UTSA. UTSA offers 60+ undergraduate areas of study that are spread across seven different colleges. Curated by an award-winning faculty, our diverse set of programs will prepare you for nearly any professional career or scholarly pursuit. Admission Requirements

Undergraduate International Students

New students must complete the application to the UTSA International Pathway and submit required documentation to be considered for admission.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Apply online at ApplyTexas.org or CommonApp.org
  2. Complete the “International” application
  3. Pay $70 application fee
  4. Submit official high school or secondary school transcripts/mark sheets (plus English translation if in another language)
  5. Submit English language proficiency test scores

  • High School Diploma
  • 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • Completed Application
  • Passport
  • Proof of Financial Resources
  • Affidavit
  • All official school transcripts – High School or above as applicable

Once you have achieved the required language level, you can progress to your Pathway or direct degree.

1-Semester Pathway

  • TOEFL iBT 71 or IELTS Band Score 6.0 (required in all sections: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) or Duolingo 90 or ITEP 3.7 or PTE 52 or Cambridge 171

2-Semester Pathway

  • TOEFL iBT 61 or IELTS Band Score 6.0 or Duolingo 85 or ITEP 3.6 or PTE 45 or Cambridge 160

3-Semester Pathway

  • TOEFL iBT 57 or IELTS 5.5 or Duolingo 80 or ITEP 3.5 or PTE 41 or Cambridge 149
