This program is ideal for students in their sophomore year, but open to students of all class standings that have completed at least one term at UTSA and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

With more than 3500 courses to choose from across Business, Humanities, Sciences and Health Sciences, there’s something for everyone.

Cost compared to a semester at UTSA

  • Cost of Attendance for student attending UTSA for semester (living on campus): $15,560
  • Cost of Attendance for student attending UTSA for one semester (living off campus): $15,459
  • Cost of Attendance for student attending U of Otago for semester (including international health insurance and plane ticket): $17,615

  • Apply through the University of Otago
  • Choose courses and work with your advisor on the Credit Verification
  • Complete other pre-departure requirements
  • Travel to New Zealand!

Study abroad is eligible for financial aid!

  • Gilman Scholarship: Up to $5000
  • Honors Planning Award: Up to $2000
  • Individual colleges such as COB, COLFA, and COS offer experiential learning funds of up to $1500
