Restricted: Travel to China, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba and Russia
Official travel to China (Macau & Hong Kong), Iran, Venezuela, N. Korea, Cuba, and Russia.
Official Travel to countries named in Executive Order GA-48 is prohibited. No employee of a public institution of higher learning in the State of Texas may make official travel to China (Macau & Hong Kong), Iran, Venezuela, N. Korea, Cuba, and Russia.
Personal Travel to China (Macau & Hong Kong), Iran, Venezuela, N. Korea, Cuba, and Russia
Executive Order, GA-48, also requires State employees on personal travel to these countries to do the following:
Actions and Guidance
- Report travel no later than 7 days before departure.
- No official business may be conducted in country.
- Do not take any university assets.
- Do not access any university systems while in country.
- Review Personal Device Security briefing prior to travel and adhere to guidance.
- Enroll in STEP if you are a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.
- Submit post-trip report no later than 10 days from return.
