Year One Liberal and Fine Arts
Program Description
Year One in Liberal and Fine Arts will prepare you to enter a bachelor’s degree in the field of your choice at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Upon successful completion of this program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may continue with your undergraduate studies at UTSA. The College of Liberal and Fine Arts (COLFA) includes 9 departments in the fine arts, humanities, and social sciences. COLFA is responsible for one-third of all the instruction delivered at the University and serves all University students through the Core Curriculum. In addition, the College offers 19 major degree programs, 33 minors, and one certificate program. One-fourth of all UTSA undergraduate degree recipients annually are COLFA majors. COLFA faculty are among the University’s leading researchers, recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally. Faculty and their students play a major role in improving the community through the creation and application of new knowledge in numerous artistic, cultural, business, and public policy settings.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements
New students must complete the application to the UTSA International Pathway and submit required documentation to be considered for admission.
HOW TO APPLY TO UNDERGRADUATE PATHWAY
- Apply online at ApplyTexas.org or CommonApp.org
- Complete the “International” application
- Pay $70 application fee.
- Submit official high school or secondary school transcripts/mark sheets (plus English translation if in another language; 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale).
- Submit English language proficiency test scores
