Year One Business

Program Description

Year One in Business will prepare you to enter a bachelor’s degree path at the University of Texas at San Antonio in the field of your choice (see below). Upon successful completion of this program and meeting university requirements for undergraduate admission, you may continue with your undergraduate studies at UTSA. The College of Business is dedicated to creating and sharing knowledge that enhances the translation of theory to practice. The College combines rigor with relevance and provides innovative solutions to global business challenges. The College is currently accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International and is one of a select group of programs internationally with separate accreditation at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels in accounting. Students who graduate from the College of Business will enter a dynamic employment market that values graduates with market-based skills. To meet the demands of our students and the employment market, the College of Business offers 13 undergraduate majors. Additionally, students can select from 14 different minors to augment the knowledge and skills acquired in their major. The College also offers seven supporting business competencies which are multidisciplinary sets of electives combined to create valuable skills. Finally, the College currently offers three undergraduate certificate programs.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

New students must complete the application to the UTSA International Pathway and submit required documentation to be considered for admission.

HOW TO APPLY TO UNDERGRADUATE PATHWAY

  1. Apply online at ApplyTexas.org or CommonApp.org
  2. Complete the “International” application
  3. Pay $70 application fee
  4. Submit official high school or secondary school transcripts/mark sheets (plus English translation if in another language; 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale)
  5. Submit English language proficiency test scores
