Official Travel Suspended to Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia
The safety of UT San Antonio community members is one of our highest priorities and due to global events, System-wide travel restrictions are in effect. Until further notice, UT System has suspended travel to Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Iran*, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Russia*, Ukraine, Belarus, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

Actions and Guidance
State employees who make personal travel to countries whose travel is suspended by UT System are required to do the following:
- No approval for personal travel is needed.
- No official business may be conducted while in country.
- Do not take any university assets.
- Do not access any university systems while in country.
- Review Personal Device Security briefing prior to travel and adhere to guidance
- Enroll in STEP if you are a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.

*Note also that official travel to Russia is prohibited under GA-48. Personal travel to Russia and Iran requires a pre-trip notification to UT San Antonio and a post-trip report on activities conducted. See guidance on GA-48 on this page.
