Domestic Travel Guidelines

Sponsored travel in Texas/local field research.

UTSA sponsored travel or field research in Texas requires the approval of the Domestic Travel Committee if the travel or fieldwork is in a county with a higher CoVID-19 count than Bexar County or a higher case count per 100K inhabitants. Travelers should check the New York Times Interactive Coronavirus Map for the latest county CoVID-19 information.  Requests for travel approval can be submitted using this travel request form.

Domestic Travel outside Texas.

Any official domestic travel (including sponsored travel) to a state with a COVID-19 count equal to or higher than Texas or a higher case count per 100K inhabitants than Texas will require the approval of the Domestic Travel Committee. Travelers should check the New York Times Interactive Coronavirus Map for the latest state COVID-19 information to confirm whether your destination requires approval.  Requests for travel approval can be submitted using the travel request form found here.

These requirements will be in effect through December 31, 2020.
