Updated Guidance on Visa Interview Location from the U.S. Department of State
Sep 15, 2025Effective immediately, the U.S. Department of State requires nonimmigrant visa (NIV) applicants to schedule interviews at a U.S. embassy or consulate located in their country of nationality or current residence.
