Major: Anthropology
“When people think about international research, it sounds exotic, exciting, and explorative. Archaeology invokes all of these notions – especially when one envisions herself tromping through the jungle in search of new ruins some 1,500 years old. My time in Mexico and Belize are invaluable to me and have made me more aware as a researcher and a person. Beginning international travel can be daunting but UTSA’s study abroad experience gives students a venue in which to explore where they wouldn’t, challenge their assumptions, and grow as a globally-aware citizen.”
