The COLFA Semester in Urbino invites you to spend 13 weeks in the historical walled city of Urbino—World Heritage Site and renowned center of Italian literature, art, and culture. You will complete a full semester of UTSA courses while you immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Italy. Explore the ancient streets of Urbino and travel with your professors to Rome, Florence, Venice, and other historical cities. At Tecnológico de Monterrey, students can participate in one of 4 different campuses around Mexico: Guadalajara, Mexico City, Puebla, and Queretaro. Monterrey, capital of the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León, is a sprawling business and industrial center fringed by mountains. The language of instruction is English and Spanish. The Gilman Scholarship and Other Award Opportunities
Andrew Chapman gives an overview of National Awards, like Gilman, that can fund a variety of programs. Andrew Chapman works with students throughout their undergraduate and graduate university careers, advising them on how to apply to nationally competitive awards and develop as strong candidates. Some of the awards he advises students toward are the Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad, the Critical Language Scholarship, the Goldwater Scholarship for students doing research in STEM, and the Truman Scholarship for students pursuing careers in public service. He also work with students applying to awards that fund graduate school such as the Fulbright Student Program, the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and the Marshall, Mitchell and Rhodes scholarships.

Voyage Around the World with Semester at Sea
Nearly 100 years ago, the idea for a floating university that would travel the world became the passionate pursuit of James Edwin Lough, a psychology professor at New York University. He believed changes needed to be made to traditional teaching methods of American universities and soon became a leader in a new educational movement. Travel and first-hand experience, he felt, must be part of every scholar’s education and he set out to find others who shared this vision.
