Spanish Immersion

Meet our Instructors

elizabeth-olvera.jpg

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Olvera, and I was born in the Midwest, but call San Antonio my home.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Communication with a Spanish minor and my Masters in Spanish Literature from this institution – The University of Texas at San Antonio.  While working on Masters, I was a TA, and fell in love with teaching!  Thus, I have been teaching ever since - approximately 15 years!

I am passionate about teaching, learning and sharing all things about Spanish, but all about languages in general.  I enjoy working with our collegiate students very much!  Helping them progress in all aspects of their learning the language—written, spoken, reading, and culture—may be at times a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.  I strive to contribute in the growth and improvement of the learner’s capabilities in Spanish, but also to create a learning community that nurtures growth in a positive and fun environment.
